Stuff The Bus

The Henry County Rotary Club became a sponsor of the first annual Henry County Schools Foundation Stuff The Bus Campaign. As a sponsor we took responsibility for promoting the event and collecting items to stuff one of the 4 busses located around Henry County. 

Members volunteered to greet and thank people bringing items to for loading onto the bus.

The Stuff The Bus campaign supports Henry County teachers with supplemental classroom teaching materials along with the students in their classrooms who may not have access to the necessary school supplies. 

Members and friends were encouraged to bring:

 Basic Classroom Supplies: Pencils, pens, paper, notebooks, and erasers.

 Art Supplies: Crayons, markers, colored pencils, glue sticks, and construction paper.  Books and Educational Materials: Age-appropriate books, workbooks, and educational games.

 Technology: Tablets, laptops, projectors, and educational software.  Classroom Furniture and Organization: Desks, chairs, storage bins, and shelves.

 Cleaning and Safety Supplies: Disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, tissues, and band-aids.  Food and Snacks: Non-perishable snacks and bottled water.

 Specialized Supplies: Science lab materials, musical instruments, and sports equipment.

The club set up an Amazon wish list of multiple items in these categories for members and friends of Rotary to purchase that will be delivered to the bus for them.
