Our club collected easy to prepare food items and snacks. Volunteer members delivered the food.

The Club partners with FODAC (Friends of Disabled Adults and Children) to collect used durable medical equipment to be refurbished and then donated to those with disabilities and financial need. Saturday August 16, 2025 donations were collected by club volunteers who picked up equipment from people's homes who could not physically deliver to drop off location.
The Henry County Rotary club supports the annual USTA Wheelchair Tennis National Championship with drinks at the Henry County Parks & Recreatio
This was our 4rd year serving at Taste of Henry, the annual fundraiser for A Friend's House, Henry County's foster care group home that cares for our community's abused, neglected and abandoned children.
Our club shuttled the elderly and those in need to maneuver through the crowd on golf carts.
The Henry County Rotary Club participated in the annual fundraising Character Contest for Ferst Readers. Club members dressed as Cat In The Hat Characters and ran a "Vote for the Cat" campaign.
Children in the Ferst Readers literacy program receive a bookstore-quality, age-specific book and resources mailed to them at home every month until their fifth birthday. This access to books helps create a language-rich environment in the home and gives children a head start at reading before Kindergarten.
Our club collects new and gently used Coats for Kids each year and donates them to The Shaquille O’Neal Boys & Girls Club of Henry County who serve children in need.
A local high school heard about the project and ran a collection within the service organizations in the school and provided 68 coats.
The Henry County Rotary Club participated in the annual Ferst Readers luncheon. Member Debbie Donaldson received the Good Neighbor Award due to her work with the Henry County Rotary Club, that came with a $1,000 donation to her favorite non-profit. She chose the Rotary Club and the Club matched the donation in order to participate as a Silver Sponsor this year.
Members of the Henry County Rotary Club conducted several financial literacy and first time homebuyer seminars to members of FrontLine Housing who are moving from homelessness to financial security.
At the beginning of this Rotary year, a survey was conducted with the members to identify the types of service projects they would like to see more of. Projects involving the care and education of children surfaced as a priority.
This is the first year the club has participated with the Henry County School District to read to children at school during the annual Read Across Henry day.
The Henry County Rotary Club sponsored the Henry County Schools Foundation Stuff The Bus Campaign. As a sponsor we took responsibility for promoting the event and collecting items to stuff one of the 4 busses located around Henry County.
Members volunteered to greet and thank people bringing items to for loading onto the bus.
The Blessing Bag Project was inspired by the personal experience of one of our Rotary members. Tami Sellers' brother suffered from mental illness and homelessness most of his adult life. When she would have an opportunity to visit with him, he always had bags with his belongings that had been generously given to him. When he passed away, she collected his bags and found essential items and was grateful for the people who had cared for him. Even though she would never be able to repay them, her passion became serving the marginalized homeless people without judgement.
