A Visit from GiGi's House Founder and CEO, Sabrina Crawford
Thank
you to Sabrina Crawford, founder and CEO of GiGi’s House as well as Amy
Watkins, Active Volunteer for speaking with our club this past Monday.
Gigi’s house has served over 200 teen girls who have been victims of Sex
Trafficking since opening. These girls are running from their trauma and often
have no support either because their abuser is their family or because of
the immense shame they feel as a victim and how that affects their
relationships. Gigi’s House is actively growing their facilities and resources
to include onsite therapists and healthcare and they could not do this without
the love and support of the community. If you feel lead to support or are
part of a group that feels passionate about supporting this cause consider
sponsoring a teens Birthday, an outing for the girls as a group or making a
meaningful donation.
Above all Sabrina wants to spread the word that Sex trafficking is happening
right here in Henry County so be alert, if you see something, say
something and teach everyone you know to look for the signs of traffickers,
recruiters and changes in behavior of teens you know and care about.
